is an award winning sound designer/composer/music producer for theatre and film, based in the Bay Area and Chicago. In Chicago, Horvath has worked with every major theatre company including: The Goodman, Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare, Court, Lookingglass, Northlight, Next, Writer's Theatre, Congo Square, About Face, The Hypocrites, Timeline, and The House Theatre of Chicago.
His designs and music have been heard throughout the country at theatres including: The Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Long Wharf, Hartford Stage, CenterStage (Baltimore), Arena, The McCarter, Philadelphia Theatre Company, The Alliance, Milwaukee Repertory, Great River Shakespeare, Kansas City Repertory, Center Theatre Group, Oregon Shakespeare, and California Shakespeare.
Josh is a four time Joseph Jefferson Award Winner (11 time nominee), and an LA Ovation Award winner. Horvath taught sound for theatre at DePaul University, and currently teaches sound design for theatre and film at Northwestern University. He is an artistic associate of Lookingglass, a company member of The House Theatre of Chicago, and a collaborative artist of The Goodman Theatre.
